KING 5 and KONG to air live broadcasts of 72 regular season Seattle Kraken games
KONG will air 55 exclusive games along with another 17 games to be simulcast on KING 5 during the 2024-25 NHL season. Both stations will also air Kraken Home Ice, a new weekly magazine show focused on the team, premiering October 5.
SEATTLE – The Seattle Kraken arrive on free over-the-air live television as KING 5 and KONG announce the local broadcast schedule for regular season Seattle Kraken games.
KING 5 and KONG are the official local television partners of the Seattle Kraken beginning this season. The stations will air a total of 72 out of 82 regular season games. The remaining 10 will be shown by national broadcast partners.
The newly formed Kraken Hockey Network (KHN), owned and operated by the Seattle Kraken, will produce the game broadcasts, including pregame and postgame shows, all of which will air on KING-TV 5.1 and KONG 16.1 in Western Washington throughout the season.
In addition to games, KING 5 and KONG will air a weekly magazine show during the season called Kraken Home Ice with team-focused feature stories, player and coach interviews, and much more. New episodes will air Saturdays at 10:30 PM on KONG, premiering on October 5. Encore presentations will air Sundays at 11:35 PM on KING 5.
