59 first-time winners have been voted as their state’s National Sports Media Association Sportscaster or Sportswriter of the Year for 2023, NSMA executive director Dave Goren announced. David Teel of the Richmond Times Dispatch was elected Virginia Sportswriter of the Year for a record 15th time, leading a group of five who have won 12 or more state awards.
