On this day in 1991, Guns N’ Roses released two albums: Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II which debuted at No.2 and No.1, respectively, on both the US and UK album charts. The ambitious rollout included such singles as “November Rain,” a cover of Wings’ “Live and Let Die” (both Use Your Illusion I), plus “You Could Be Mine,” and a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” (Use Your Illusion II).
