Bonus song of the day for September 5 from a reforming Linkin Park

The Emptiness Machine by Linkin Park is the bonus song of the day.

After a mysterious countdown timer counted down from 100 hours down to zero on the Linkin Park website and the started counting up, there was a lot of speculation. When the timer hit 9:05 it “glitched” leaving a clue about what it could mean. Turns out it was for an announcement and live performance in Los Angeles. They played for a bit and introduced the band.

The new co-lead singer is Emily Armstrong, also of Dead Sara, and the new drummer is Colin Brittain, a songwriter and producer for G Flip, Illenium and One OK Rock.

Linkin Park will also be on the Zane Lowe show tomorrow September 6 on Apple Music 1 and the new album is released November 15, There is some concert dates as well and there will be more added in the future.

Linkin Park‘s new co-vocalist will be Emily Armstrong of the band Dead Sara, the band announced Thursday during a live performance event. Colin Brittain, a songwriter and producer for G Flip, Illenium and One OK Rock, will also join the group as a drummer.

The announcement came with a new single, “The Emptiness Machine,” the band’s first new music release in seven years, and the lead track for an upcoming album dubbed “From Zero.” The set will arrive on Nov. 15 (via Warner Records) as their first full-length effort since 2017’s “One More Light,” also the last Linkin Park album before the death of lead vocalist Chester Bennington.
