I am looking to create a non traditional radio network

I have had this idea for a while, but the Rogers lay offs and station closures last week have fast tracked my idea.

I am wanting to create a platform for hosts to have their own shows. Imagine this, a sports radio network live 24/7. That is my plan. I would have hosts from all over Canada on the station. With the time differences the first show of the new day could start at 6am from Halifax. That is 2am in Vancouver, where the last show of the day wraps up.

Ideally I would have 2 sports stations. One where the focus is national shows. Talking all sports in Canada, while the other station would have local focused shows throughout the day. Want to hear about the Canadiens? Allouettes? tune in to a show at this time. Flames talk? Same thing. Canucks? Jets? Oilers? Blue Jays, Raptors and Leafs? Senators? There will be shows at certain times devoted to those local markets. The national shows will talk all things sports and not focus strictly on the Toronto market. Think weekend and overnight shows on ESPN or Westwood Sports in the US.

I would also like to have a talk format. But not one that is strictly local. Have a national talk show, where listeners can text in or join live chats. Obviously there could be local shows at times and maybe there could be 2 stations of talk depending on the demand.

I am also looking to do music stations. I figure one could be a rock/alternative/hard rock station, one could be a classic hits style station, country station, variety station, and maybe a top 40/CHR style station.

Now for a funding model for this. I know that a lot of hosts have loyal followings on socials so that would bring listeners over. Certain hosts that have online shows have sponsors and I would look to have all shows sponsored by companies. Obviously advertising on the website and social media.

This is not going to be a traditional radio station or network. In fact I am not even sure how this will work and how to get it started. I will be looking for someone to help me get set up and I am sure there will be more details in the next few weeks.
