Corus cuts have started
Yesterday, July 18, Corus made cuts to radio and TV in Peterborough and Kingston. Both markets lost on air staff at all stations. In Kelowna, there were cuts made to Global TV there as well.
All the radio stations effected will use voice tracking to provide content, but there currently is no local on air staff.
Staff confirmed to be let go so far in Kingston are, Fresh Morning show Monica Lapajne & co-host Jesse Reynolds, 104.3 afternoon host Carrie ‘Care’ Humphries, CFMK morning host Ryan ‘Sideshow’ Lemmon, midday host Bill Welcyhka, and afternoon host Derek Bolduc.
In Peterborough the only host listed on Fresh radio is Dale Lowe, and currently all shows are listed at The Wolf as well. As I get confirmation of the cuts I will post them here. I do know that Justin Beaudoin was cut from Peterborough.
