MBC launches 3 new stations they acquired from Rogers

Friday August 1 MBC rebranded Jack 92.3 Smiths Falls to Wow 92.3 and in Tillsonburg, 107.3 Country became New Country 107.3 and Easy 101.3 is now 101.3 Giant FM. Wow and New Country retain the existing formats for the most part, with a few more pop songs on WOW then when it was Jack, and Easy changes formats from Pop hits to Classic Rock.

“These stations each have deep roots in their communities, and we’re proud to give them a new voice with formats that reflect the tastes and values of local listeners,” said MBC President Jon Pole. “At MBC, we believe in giving more than we take — and we’re committed to investing in local radio, local news, and local people.”

To support that vision, MBC will build new studios in both Tillsonburg and Smiths Falls in the coming months. The upgraded facilities will enhance local journalism and community programming, aligning with MBC’s mission to strengthen hometown radio.

The stations will also be backed by digital news platforms, including the launch of OXFORDtoday.ca.

“These new additions perfectly complement our existing stations and platforms across the province,” said Pole. “Our mission is simple: support the communities we serve, deliver great content, and help local businesses grow. We’re just getting started.”
