Changes at The Bear Edmonton and CJAY Calgary
CJAY Afternoon host Reaper, has replaced Ashleigh who left in June, as the new Midday host on both CJAY and The Bear.
Ashleigh had been hosting the Midday show at HTZ-FM Saint Catherine’s as well as at CJAY and The Bear. She returned to southern Ontario to work at HTZ after the new ownership took over the station. So therefore there needed to be a replacement. Originally Bell was going to hire one host to cover the the Midday show at the two stations but instead moved Reaper to the Midday show. But that means there needs to be a new host on afternoons at CJAY.
The new Afternoon show at CJAY is Tyler and Lynch. Tyler and Lynch are not new to Calgary, as they had hosted mornings at X92.9 before moving to Vancouver to host mornings at The Peak before being let go, and resurfacing as the afternoon show at CFOX before eventually being let go in a round of cost cutting earlier this year.
Tyler and Lynch can be heard 2-7 Weekdays on CJAY 92. Reaper is now heard weekdays 10-2 on both CJAY 92 and The Bear in Edmonton.
