In 1985, Black Sabbath featured Ozzy Osbourne in their performance of "Paranoid" at Live Aid, even though he was no longer part of the band. In 2015, bassist Geezer Butler was arrested for assault and intoxication at the Corkscrew Saloon. Additionally, in 2017, keyboardist Geoff Nicholls, a longtime member of the band, passed away at the age of 68.

Today’s song is Paranoid from Live Aid 1985, by Black Sabbath featuring Ozzy Osbourne.

At this point Ozzy was not part of the band which is why he is featured on this recording.

On this day in 2015, Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler was arrested after officers were called to the Corkscrew Saloon on the Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley National Park, California. The 65 year-old bassist was arrested for misdemeanour assault, public intoxication and vandalism after a fight broke out in the bar.

And in 2017 British musician and keyboardist, and longtime member of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, Geoff Nicholls died aged 68. Until his death, Nicholls played keyboards with former Black Sabbath singer Tony Martin, in his band Tony Martin’s Headless Cross.
