On December 18, 1971, T. Rex scored their first No.1 album in the UK, 'Electric Warrior', marked as a pivotal moment in glam-rock. The album, driven by popular hit "Bang a Gong (Get It On)", was named the best-selling record of 1971 in the UK. The song's energetic live performance is highly appreciated.

Todays song is a really awesome and crazy live version of Bang A Gong (Get It On) by T-Rex

On this day in music, December 18, 1971, T. Rex scored their first No.1 album in the UK with Electric Warrior. Marking the group’s sixth LP overall, and their second since frontman Marc Bolan changed the band’s name from Tyrannosaurus Rex to T. Rex, Electric Warrior is widely cited as a turning point in the evolution of glam-rock. Driven up the charts by its massively popular hit single, “Bang a Gong (Get It On),” the album was later named the UK’s best-selling record of 1971. “Bang a Gong” was the band’s sole Top Ten US hit.

Now I personally love going to concerts, and it’s for reasons like this. When a band just goes all out during a performance. Giving it there all. In this case the overall performance looked like it was going off the rails but at the same time it was such a good high energy performance.
